Let's Just All Bag-Up and Move to Phoenix

What I mean by my title is that all the people that live there that are unemployed are probably going nuts. Their grocery store bagging sed to be $5/hour and now it's $9/hour. This means if you work 10 hours everyday [yes, when it comes to unemployment you have to work weekens, sorry], that comes up to $630 a week. That's actually some pretty good pay, especially when you're just asking paper or plastic. My Disgruntlement about this issue is why Tucson is still doing $5/hour? That would be $350 a week, about 55% of the Phoenix rate.
Let's have a little talk about income. Of course you little young people out there don't understand, for all I know you think money is just givin to your parents ofr no reason and you can get whatever you want. Well, it doesn't quite work that way. You have to add up all of the income first. If you lived in Phoenix and got a bagging job, that's $2,835 a month. In Tucson, $1,575 a month. Both sound like a ton but remember you have to spend some stuff too.
Food, for one person, would be about $7 a day if you round everything up. No, you can't have fast food every day and rarely a snack. $7 a day is about $220.50 a month. Now you have $2,614.50 which still seems like a large chunk of cash but it really isn't.
Now all of the bills. If your living "ghetto style" you have to sacrifice a nice Lexus with one of those $400 cars on the street--or you can also steal one too but that wouldn't be smart. Ok, back to bills. Electric bill, water bill, phone bill, internet bill, all adds up to about $1,300. Now it's $1,314.50. Sounds like a lot but wait till we're finished.
Apartment? Average apartment, $700. Now we're at $600.
Now you have to figure in gas. Here's where a lot of your money gets spent. Let's say your job is about five miles away (that's what you get for a nice apartment). 5 miles ot it, 5 miles back. 10 x a month would be 300 miles per month. Your car goes the average 15 miles to the gallon. That's 20 gallons a month. Then your little "extra" trips would also add in 20 gallons a month. That means your money $580.
And if you know how to spend stuff wisely, you'll have about $400 leftover. Hey, maybe this isn't too bad. Of course that's only one person. If you have a girlfriend, your income won't change if she also has a bagging job. Take out $300 per kid.
If you live in Tucson, that's about -$800 leftover.
So this amazes me. Someone can live in Phoenix and work at a grocery store and get paid pretty well and someone in Tucson can have that same paper or plastic job and make no where near the Phoenix amount? WTF? Shouldn't the cities all be equal?
